![]() ![]() You are responsible for your own property, including your intellectual property, which would be your essays. With that said, it is still a responsibility thing. Knowledge, even just of it's own sake, is a good thing and important. I don't know about others, but I DO NOT share that view, and to be fair I don't think ASU as a whole does either. "You're supposed to go and get a degree nobody cares about the knowledge held in individual classes. For the online stuff, ASU would pay a cost per head/access. Virtually everything ASU has is licensed in some way, even if it's just for a support contract. I just want to point out that this isn't true. It costs the school nothing to maintain my access I'm seriously thinking about making any additional course I take publicly available through some sort of backup just because I am so angry. But, I am very passionate about certain subjects and it angers me that I can't retrieve the knowledge that I paid for. You're not going to use most of them anyway and they're just requirements that you have to complete to get a Bachelor's Degree" you say. I understand that my thoughts might seem naïve, especially to adults. Not remembering a class is one thing (I can hardly remember Intro to Statistics myself), but actively denying a person the ability to go back and look at that knowledge is another. It's not about actually learning stuff or retention of knowledge. I know it's obvious, but this just shows to me that they're just offering these classes to tick off arbitrary requirements that they made to get a degree. I'm not buying an education I am renting classes to buy an overpriced degree. I have referenced past classes I've taken multiple times when researching or stuff like that. This might be a bit of a hot take, but I think if I paid for the course, I should have indefinite access to it. Digital learning and in-person have many differences it costs the school nothing to maintain my access. It's not been five months and they've decided that I've apparently dropped out or something and that I should no longer should have access to the courses which I paid for (ASUPD takes care of tuition but all other fees and stuff like textbooks are my responsibility). I made sure my login was correct and everything, but even the Canvas button on my ASU dashboard was missing. A couple days ago, I tried logging into Canvas to download some essays of mine that I had neglected to download and it says that it can't find a user by my name. The last time I took a course using this was in Session A of the Spring Semester. Due to my school's affiliations with the greater ASU university, I am able to attend up to two college classes a semester instead of the corresponding class at my high school. I am a high school student currently attending ASU Preparatory Academy online.
